Sea-Teacher Program Batch 6

Friday, 17th August 2018. Today classes are suspended because heavy rain last night and today coincide with independent's Day Of Republic Indonesia my beloved country. We went to embassy of Republic Indonesia, phillipines to celebrates our's independent Day. in the embassy of Republic Indonesia we met many Indonesian's students there from different provinces, I can met with our's ambassador for phillipines. I was happy and lucky to be part of this program. Thank you for SEAMEO and Thank you For INDONESIA. DIRGAHAYU REPUBLIK INDONESIA KE-71, JAYALAH NEGERIKU 🤗

Thursday, 16th August 2018. I had 3 classes today namely in the SSC grade 9, SSC grade 8 and STEM 12. In the SSC grade 9 and SSC grade 8, I gave them promblems set has purpose to measure their understanding about previous lesson and I gave ice creams for the best 4th students who answered questions correctly that's reward to improve their motivation. In the STEM 12 I only observed ma'am Elizabeth's class. .

Wednesday, 15th august 2018. Today I had class in the SSC grade 8. My class started on 9.45 Am and finished on 11.45 Am. I taught physics my topic about energy. This is a good topic because it's really happened in our daily activities. For examples ; We can't go to school without energy, we can't walk, run, we can't do anything without energy. That's why energy really important in our lives. My students in grade 8 really antusiasm, got interested with this topic. They were can answer my questions well and they asked a lot. Students in grade 8 are really intelligent that's why grade 8 is on of my favorite class in Roosevelt College.  After my class finished I went to faculty room to waiting my friends Dita, reny and then we took our lunch together. After lunch I didn't have any classes again and I used my time to shared with my students in the outside class. I try to establish connection with them. It's important for us as a teacher. .

Today 14th August 2018 is my 10 days in phillipines. I had scheduled today but classes are suspended affected by flooded. So that I just stayed at home. However our's guiding teachers came to our castle hehe 😎 to tasted some foods from Indonesia like indomie (noodles), Rendang, etc. They were taught us how to made lessons plan, how to speak "tagalog" and we taught them how to speak "bahasa" too. . .salamat po 😊

Today 13rd August 2018. I didn't have scheduled for today, classes were suspended, teachers and students badly affected by flooded. I just stayed at home to prepared my topics for next meeting. . . Stay safe.

Today 12nd August 2018 is weekend. We decided to visited some places in phillipines but rainfall all the time caused flood in the some sectors in manila city including rave's home. Rave is my body's here. Because of that I just stayed at home.

Today 11th August 2018. I didn't have scheduled because Saturday there was no classes. I just used my times to take a rest, it's important to get back my stamina again. My friends asked me to went to somewhere but I'm so tired. So that I decide to spend my times at home. ^_^☺️

Today 10th August 2018 is my day 6 in phillipines. Like yesterday I had scheduled to observed Mr kishi and Mr nonilo classes. Roosevelt college Inc gave me more times to observed. Beside to know education system in that school and  establish connection with students also. So far I got the feeling here. I often shared with my mentors and my students to. We talked about culture between Indonesia and phillipines. It's made me can explore my knowledge also. Special Science Grade 10                     Special Science Grade 8

Today 9 August 2018 is my days 5 in the Roosvelt College Inc like a days ago I had schedule to observed classes. I had 4 times to observed such as 2 hour in Mr Cedric's classes in grade 8 mulave and Rizal, 1 hour Mr kishi class in physics 9 Special Science and  1 hour Mr Cuevo class in integrated science 8 SSI. During the observed I found something different between integrated science and Special science classes. Students in Special Science classes more antusiasm when they were answered and asked questions than integrated science classes but they were also good students. We did students president council election too. The students really antusiasm to said their vision to become one of the members.

Today 8th August. I did observe in grade 8 spesial science in Mr Ceuvo's Class, the students did their project about Circular motion. They can made a good project and I did observe in integrated science grade 8 in Mr Cedric's Class too. The students really quiet and antusiasm about the lesson. Today Roosevelt CollegeInc celebrated 51th ASEAN Anniversary And welcoming party for us (Sea-Teacher participants).

Today I handled Mr Kishi's class because he had meeting, i taught physics in gradee 10. It was great, they are had a good response and they sang a traditional song in phillipines as present to me. I did observation also in Mr Nonilo's class in grade 8. He gave me many suggested about the technical of teaching. Special Science Grade 10                    Special Science Grade 8
